Are you a current student at Georgetown University? ENGIE is hiring a Technology & Policy Intern located at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. This position is responsible for supporting ENGIE's Major Partnerships, concentrated on the process of identifying regulatory and policy frameworks and evaluating emerging technologies in the energy sector. The successful candidate will work closely with the technical team to focus on performing market research, identifying promising technology, and analyzing regulatory trends in sustainability. In this role, the candidate should have an interest in obtaining practical experience working in strategy, technology research, and policies in the energy industry. What you'll do: * Collaborate with business unit leaders and technical team to execute global market research, identify, and analyze regulatory trends and carbon tax incentives, and sustainability-focused policies * Identify states with the highest potential for regulations promoting clean energy as an opportunity to find customers for long-term partnership * Evaluate emerging technologies to decarbonize the energy sector * Recommend potential networking groups, events, conferences, and related events to drive engagement, build industry presence and reach key leaders within the industry * Collect data and present relevant analytical results to senior leadership with the goal of impacting business development strategy * Participate in conference calls with consultant firms and contribute independently researched data * Assess end audience (customer or managerial) expectations and requirements and develop relevant targeted material to meet that expectation; iterating as needed * Optimize existing material and develop templates for distribution, publication, or archive in a standardized design format(s) What you bring: * Currently enrolled student at Georgetown University pursuing bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Public Policy, Environmental Study or similar program (prefer Junior or Senior) * Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher * Minimum 2 year completed course work within Business, Law, Public Policy, Environmental Study or similar program Additional Information/Conditions: * Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel * Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Demonstrated ability to take initiative * Strong interpersonal skills * Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills Why ENGIE?
