If you have excellent communication skills and classroom writing experience as well as a knowledge of basic marketing concepts, join the creative Marketing team at SECURA Insurance. You'll work on a variety of digital and traditional marketing projects, enhance your resume, and gain real-world digital marketing experience in a corporate environment.

During the school year, this position is part time, 15-20 hours per week, based on your class schedule and our company's business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). During the summer, it is 40 hours per week. This is a 12+ month paid internship opportunity. Start date: November/December

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with digital and traditional marketing projects for various departments and events.
• Assist in writing and proofing articles for internal news website and blog.
• Assist with posting, monitoring, and analytics for social media.
• Develop web content and update websites.
• Take digital pictures for use in publications and promotions.
• Provide administrative support as requested.
• Participate in other projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL:

• Currently enrolled in a four-year program and majoring in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
• Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• The ability to manage multiple projects while working both independently and in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong computer skills, including experience working in Microsoft Word.

PREFERRED (training will be provided):

• Experience working in design software (Adobe Creative Suite).
• Experience with HTML, SharePoint, and/or content management systems.
• Photography experience.
