Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Matthews International is searching for an HR Service Center Coordinator to join our team! The Coordinator will serve customers by determining requirements; fulfilling requests; and maintaining the employee database. As an integral part of our HR Service Center Team, the Coordinator will act as ‘front-line’ support for incoming employee questions and inquiries with a focus on time-sensitive issue resolution, responsiveness, and customer care. Our Coordinator will be encouraged to use initiative and insight in problem-solving and will gain exposure working alongside multiple teams within the organization. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answers incoming questions immediately via phone, e-mail and web portal.
  • Contacts customers via oral or written correspondence to resolve questions.
  • Documents all pertinent employee information, including name, department, contact information and the nature of their call.
  • Answers inquiries by clarifying desired information; researching, locating, and providing information.
  • Resolves problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; escalating unresolved problems.
  • Fulfills requests by clarifying desired information; completing transactions; forwarding requests
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
     

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • 3+ years of previous human resources experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary

PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and talk, hear and see.  
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
