Summary:

The Channel Manager (CM) will support clients in the administration and management of core supply chain execution business processes related to the client's inbound logistics channel. The CM will become intimate with client core business processes, gaining knowledge of the client's supply chain by establishing working relationships with business partners both internally and externally. Channel Managers are expected to monitor Armada's suite of supply chain visibility tools to participate in workflow completion, client data maintenance and various lane performance reports. It will be expected that this role will proactively identify opportunities to expand the scope of processes under management and improve process efficiencies, working with the client to leverage existing tools, and/or recommend new business practices and tools necessary to achieve client supply chain objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • "Super-user" knowledge of inner workings of Armada and client supply chain visibility toolsets
  • Daily interaction with client and other stakeholders to support activities driven by supply chain execution business processes.
  • Management of the client's Minimum Order Quantity Compliance program
  • Lane Management activities including, setup, maintenance and providing oversight of client Line of Supply changes.
  • Support and drive channel optimization activities
  • Ensure client lane level demand is in sync with our carrier lane capacity expectations.
  • Address daily supply disruptions throughout the supply chain.
  • Support business continuity/contingency planning/communication necessitated by supply disruptions (i.e., weather, facilities, etc.)
  • Interface directly with client and client's trading partners to execute processes. For the client, this includes Logistics, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Marketing, Finance, IT, R&D, and Restaurant Operations.
  • Provide oversight and support to the Annual DC Backhaul Benchmark and Budget Process
  • Collaborate with client purchasing and supply management teams on opportunities involving freight and distribution.
  • Ensure data synchronization between client's master and transactional data and ensure internal teams are adhering to data quality and maintenance standards
  • Coordinate communication of plan changes with cross-functional teams
  • Generate reports of business activity to distribute to client and internal teams

Skills and Experience Desired:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics or equivalent business experience.
  • 3 to 5 years experience in Transportation, Warehousing, Inventory Management or Business Analytics
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite of products, particularly Excel. Willingness to expand software knowledge and learn new packages
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
  • Strong relationship and networking skills are a must. The ability to develop and maintain great personal and business relationships is paramount to success.
  • Great organizational skills including planning, organizing, goal setting, and execution.
  • Self-starter that is detail oriented
  • Strong Project Management skills and ability to work independently within a team environment

Language and Technical Skills requirement

  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written) with internal/external clients
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Access. Knowledge in SQL and ability to program Macros (VBA) is a plus.
  • Ability to aggregate, manipulate, and automate data
  • Data-driven, fact-based, detail-oriented approach to analysis and problem solving
  • Strong Project Management skills and ability to work independently within a team environment
