Carnegie Mellon University's Division of Student Affairs is searching for a part-time Personal Trainer in its recreational and fitness program primarily in the Cohon Fitness Center. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment.
Your core responsibilities will include:motivating clients by setting goals and providing feedback and accountability. Must also measure strengths & weaknesses of the client through fitness assessments; Assessments may also be used before or after an exercise program to measure improvement
educate clients in other aspects of wellness including general health and nutrition guidelines.
Instruct and lead participants in maintaining appropriate exercise techniques while evaluating ability of participants. Ensure safe environment.
Maintain order and cleanliness of exercise space before, during, and after class. Demonstrates proper technique & form.
Maintain class roster and communicate effectively.

You should demonstrate:A passion for health & fitness, must have a flexible schedule and be punctual and dependable
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
0-1 teaching/instruction experience required; 2-3+ years of teaching experience preferred
Certified trainer by nationally recognized organization.
CPR, First Aid & AED are required
A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
