Join us as a Sanctions Compliance Analyst

The Sanctions Compliance Analyst works closely with the Sanctions Advisory team to: provide SME support and advice to the LOBs on the application of OFAC economic sanctions to the LOBs and other stakeholders within BBH; conduct enhanced sanctions due diligence on higher risk clients; assist the Head of Sanctions Advisory in drafting OFAC blocked property reports, Annual Reports, and Voluntary Self-Disclosures, as appropriate; help maintain the Firm's enterprise-wide global sanctions policies and procedures; serve as the escalation point for sanctions screening alerts; assist with delivering sanctions training to the relevant business lines; and to interact closely with Legal and Compliance colleagues to ensure consistent coverage and implementation of the BBH global sanctions compliance program. Key responsibilities include:

  • Help maintain policy and procedures to ensure compliance with OFAC/Sanctions filtering and reporting requirements for all business units
  • Ensure regulatory adherence to various sanctions programs and work with the lines of business to identify control gaps and/or remediation.
  • Provide timely advice and guidance to all appropriate business units for OFAC concerns
  • Conduct enhanced sanctions due diligence on higher-risk clients
  • Serve as escalation point for sanctions screening alerts that cannot be readily resolved by the sanctions screening unit
  • Maintain and track all relevant sanctions documentation related to investigations and regulatory filings
  • Assist with drafting blocked property reports as applicable for review and filing
  • Assist with drafting the annual blocked property report to OFAC for review and filing
  • Ensure blocked assets are properly coded within internal systems
  • Investigate potential sanctions violations by liaising with relevant lines of business
  • Assist with developing and delivering on-going targeted sanctions training to the lines of business
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and laws, with emphasis on OFAC, drafts communications of OFAC updates for review by Sanctions Manager and disseminates to compliance colleagues

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3+ years' experience in OFAC Sanctions Compliance
  • Experience in a financial institution and/or equivalent industry
  • Strong practical knowledge of laws applicable to money laundering, including the OFAC Requirements
  • Knowledge of OFAC sanctions regulations and its application to banks strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Fircosoft preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication (oral and written) skills
  • Strong investigative and administrative ability

Salary Range

$55,000 - $65,000 base salary + annual bonus target

BBH's compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
