Role Description

The Learning Specialist, reporting to Manager, Learning & Development, plays a pivotal role in the development of workforce skills to help our employees succeed and evolve. They lead complex projects and are a creative solution designer. Their role spans instructional design, LMS administration, internal communications, learning event coordination and content facilitation.


This position offers a hybrid remote work option with corporate offices located adjacent to our new advanced manufacturing facility in Weirton, WV. The scope of this role covers a rapidly growing workforce that is primarily based in Somerville (Boston), MA, Berkeley, CA and the Pittsburgh, PA/Weirton, WV region.

This opportunity is based out of Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV. Relocation assistance is available.

What you'll do:
  • Collaborate to design and develop training programs in line with organizational

    objectives.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain training materials for various programs.

  • Deliver training in different formats, including classroom, virtual, and e-learning.

  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and currency of training content.

  • Steward the learning culture by creating internal and external facing communications

    and marketing materials to drive engagement with available resources

  • Serve as a program manager for learning events or e-journeys; oversee aspects of

    coordination, logistics and support

  • Facilitate learning calendar management, maintaining master calendar of all learning

    events

  • Evaluate training effectiveness and suggest improvements.

  • Manage the learning management system and maintain accurate training records.

  • Administer department budgets and engage in vendor selection, procurement and

    onboarding activities

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, or related field

  • Minimum 3 years of L&D or training experience in support of a technical workforce or manufacturing environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, learning management systems and e-learning platforms.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.

  • Ability to handle confidential data and work independently with minimal supervision

  • Effective communication skills with all levels of employees, including senior management
