Job Title:Global Segment Leader, PU Rigid, Molded & Specialties

Summary:Development and implementation of the Global Segment strategy, including Sales, Marketing, Strategic Growth Programs, and Technology/NPI Initiatives for the PU Rigid, Molded, Specialties Segment.

Direct responsibility for the Sales, Marketing & Application Development functions, and strategic alignment with Technology to support existing business and to develop new business in line with the global Segment strategy.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Grow the Segment through Share Expansion, NPIs, New Applications, Global Translations & Business Development. Development and execution of the segment's annual and long-term operating plans (Revenue, Volume, Margin, NPI Vitality).

  • Develop short-range and Long-range Strategy and Business Plan, ensuring that the segment has adequate visibility to market trends. Serves as a source of voice of the customer, marketing intelligence. Manage key external industry relationships that will allow the segment to position products optimally and develop new products.

  • Own the establishment and execution of direct selling account strategies, key account plans, demand plans, pricing, and channel strategy for the segment (e.g., distribution, agents). Ensure that internal personnel as well as channel partners are properly trained and motivated to succeed

  • Responsible for all aspects of People recruiting, people development, organizational evolution, and global succession planning for the Sales, Marketing & Application teams.

  • Partner with procurement to develop/drive a procurement strategy that results in strategic partnerships with key suppliers and cost-effective material costs and savings.

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

  • A strategic-minded business management professional with 15+ years of business leadership experience on a regional and global level, with a solid track record of leading growth through innovation in the specialty chemical space.

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant area.

  • 10 years of experience in the polyurethane industry/specialty chemicals.

  • 10-15 years of commercial sales experience, preferably in the Polyurethane industry with a multinational company.

  • Experience in a sales management role with exposure to developed and emerging countries.

  • Strong background in people development: effective in hiring, coaching, training, motivating, and developing increased competency levels, performance, and innovation/change.

  • Experience in the creation and execution of annual and long-term plans that include market trend and share analysis and demonstrated profit growth and business expansion.

  • Marketing competencies and experience should include Strategic Marketing, Value Proposition Development, Market Segmentation, and New Product Launches.

  • High level of Business financial acumen - experience and understanding of P&L,cash flow, working capital, and return on capital employed.

  • Exceptional listening and communication skills - verbal, written, and formal presentations.

  • Strong interpersonal and executive presentation skills.

  • Travel 30-50%

The following are preferred for this role

  • Polyurethane Rigid Molded and Specialities experience.

What We Offer:Base Pay Range: $189,000.00 - $277,200.00

The actual salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography. Additionally, this role is eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company's incentive plans, the Company's financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.
