Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Identifies and successfully investigates matters of internal dishonesty.
  • Controls the unexplained loss of merchandise and improve profitability.
  • Identifies associate behaviors and/or operational issues through exception-based reporting and CCTV that may cause shrink.
  • Identifies trends; makes recommendations for improvement; teach, train and coach associates to effectively handle opportunities; monitor corrective action.
  • Prepares detailed and accurate reports in a timely manner.
  • Monitors criminal cases, appear in court and testify as warranted.
  • Follows up, supports and resolves safety, environmental and regulatory issues as assigned by the Director.
  • Assists in supporting safety awareness and compliance in Distribution, including assistance with Workers' Compensation and General Liability claim process, and maintain all OSHA records.
  • Uses data to identify trends that may lead to accidents and make recommendations for process changes or improvements.
  • Assists with all Distribution specific training related to safety and machine training and recertification.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Business or in Criminal Justice from an accredited institution
  • Experience: 5 years' in loss prevention, including 2 years' experience in loss prevention management or related management

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

  • Demonstrated experience conducting investigations
  • Experience in using physical security systems (CCTV, EAS, etc.)
  • Experience conducting quality reviews/audits
  • Current AHA First Aid/CPR/AED certification

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regularly performs computer work and sits
  • Occasionally walks and stands
  • Seldom/never lifts up to 50lbs.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

  • Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or functional area of responsibility within general scope of established operational goals and plans. Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor.
