Job Description

ORC is seeking a full-time, exempt Right of Way Agent to work on projects based out of Pennsylvania. The selected candidate will have the flexibility to work out of their home office but must reside in the Pittsburgh, PA area and be able to travel frequently, locally and throughout the state of Pennsylvania. Travel could extend to surrounding states.

What you will be doing:

As a Right of Way Agent, you will be acquiring distribution easements for electric distribution projects to reduce outages and bring a more reliable power source to communities across Pennsylvania. Will conduct advanced right of way negotiations with high-risk landowners. You will be responsible for preparing settling damages, real estate documents, performing property research, ensuring compliance with company standards, and providing construction support.

Here are the Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of two(2) years of Right of Way acquisition experience
  • Active Pennsylvania Notary
  • Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and Dropbox
  • Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems
  • Valid Driver's License

Bonus points if you have experience working on electric utility projects and/or haveSR/WA, RWA, PMP certifications.

Physical Requirements: English language proficient. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to clearly communicate and exchange information in person, via phone and email. Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers due to high computer usage and typing. Expected to spend long spans of time in front of a computer screen. Able to read, understand and interpret department related documents and data. The employee is required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff. This role requires the employee to occasionally travel to meet with clients or vendors which involves time driving; sometimes for long durations. While meeting with clients and vendors, will need to be outdoors traversing different types of landscapes. May be exposed to the elements (heat, rain, snow, cold).
