Position: Warehouse Supervisor, Mail Sorting Center Employee Type: Full-time

Location: Aurora, IL

Job Duties:

The Supervisor will supervise employees at a Surface Transfer Center (STC) for the US Postal Service under contract with LGSTX Distribution Services, Inc. (LDS). Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Ensures accurate, timely sorting of mail by employees
  • Performs supervisory functions including staffing, personnel interviewing, selection, training, rewards/discipline, performance reviews, attendance, timekeeping and safety compliance
  • Maintains effective communication regarding operational requirements to employees
  • Responsible for operational policy communication and problem resolution
  • Assists Manager and Shift Managers of STC as necessary

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 2 years of freight, logistics, distribution or warehouse operations supervisory experience
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
  • The ability to work in partnership with corporate LGSTX teams including Executive Management, Human Resources, Safety and Training.
  • Proficient with PC using Microsoft Office software
  • Working knowledge of regulations governing government contractors and applicable state and federal laws
  • Ability to lead a safe work facility by applying company, state and federal safe practices, policies and regulations
  • Must be able to work flexible hours as needed to support a 24/7 operation
  • The ability to work in a startup operations environment
  • The ability to lift objects weighing up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to pass a federal background check and drug test to access USPS facility

  • Bachelor's Degree
