Job Description

Work Days and Expected Hours:

Monday - Friday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

(Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department)

Function: Performs various post-closing functions including. Reviews loan documents for compliance, completeness, and accuracy. Obtains missing documentation and provides support to both internal and external customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acquires knowledge of all consumer loan products, all applicable laws, and S&T Bank's Lending Policy to ensure compliance.

  • Disburses new loan proceeds upon receipt of required documentation for equity loans.

  • Reviews tickets made by retail staff for funding on Non-Real Estate loans to ensure accuracy.

  • Reviews insurance policies for appropriate limits and coverage and mortgagee clause.

  • Reviews all executed loan documents that have been attached into LOS to ensure all documents are signed, dated, properly notarized, and initialed where applicable.

  • Ensures required originals for equity loans are received and delivers to Loan Systems in timely manner.

  • Identifies exceptions to be placed for missing documents or when original documents have not been received.

  • Responsible to bundle all documents required for a complete loan package for retention on originated loans.

  • Responsible to move bundled loan package into shared drive for upload of package into record retention system by Loan Records Department

  • Posts fees to appropriate GL accounts

  • Systemically funds all consumer loans in the loan origination software.

  • Completes on-line dollar.

  • Completes branch capture daily of all proof.

  • Complete post-close bringdowns on equity refinances to ensure lien perfection.

  • Review and correspond with retail staff on the Consumer Loan Exception Report items to come up with resolution.

  • Responsible for recording mortgages electronically through vendor websites or ships packages to the appropriate vendor for paper recordation.

  • Updates product log and internal closing calendar (on an ongoing basis) as work is completed.

  • Assists in the training and development of Consumer Bankers, Consumer Processors, and maintenance (including updates) of the Consumer Lending Closing and Funding manual to be used as both a training and reference manual.

  • Maintains a good working relationship with bank employees. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as well as motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn, the organization.

  • Performs all additional duties as required.

Physical Demands

Operates a keypad device, electronic equipment, office equipment: 90% of the day. The primary parts of the body involved in performing these tasks are the fingers, thumb, hands, wrists, elbows, legs, lower and upper torso, and feet. The job requires sitting 6 hours per day in a straight and leaning position. Walking is required one hour per day which is slow in speed. Requires the use of manual dexterity skills for typing and filing up to 60% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18"-20" for computer work. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Education

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent basic academic education.

Experience

One to two years general experience.
