Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide customer requested information regarding Packaging products; including declarations of compliance and maintenance of customer product regulatory spreadsheets.
  • Coordinate regulatory affairs matters with other departments, locations and divisions. Requires interface with the Technical, Sales/Marketing, Global Packaging, Corporate Regulatory Affairs and IT groups.
  • Administer and maintain formula code assignments.
  • Apply department policies and procedures; applicable laws, rules, and regulations, ensuring compliance with these areas.
  • Assist with developing and implementing regulatory affairs policies and procedures.
  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries related to regulatory issues and develop/maintain positive relationships in the industry.
  • Handle multiple projects of varying complexity and timelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum B.S. degree, preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of chemical industry experience.
  • Experience in coatings or polymers chemistry is preferred.
  • Understanding of food contact regulations, chemical control regulations, and health, safety and environmental regulations and an awareness of new and emerging initiatives in these areas is preferred.
  • Highly motivated with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills with a superior attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and desire to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders and customers.
  • Strong computer skills.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: (TIME SPENT AWAY FROM HOME OR OTHER TYPICAL OFFICE LOCATION)

  • 10%

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
