Job Summary:

The Depot Repair Technician assembles and repairs Haemonetics machines and devices that are marked for depot repair and documents repair activity using the depot service tracking system. In addition to repairing the machines, this person will provide technical support to the Hotline and field service staffs on an as needed basis. This position is responsible for maintaining required inventories of parts to perform necessary repairs.

Job Responsibilities:

* Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment by replacing or repairing circuit cards, mechanical sub-assemblies, and discrete components and calibrate equipment according to manufacturer specifications.

* Refurbish equipment by replacing worn components and cleaning exterior covers. Perform final testing of repaired or refurbished equipment by using various diagnostic tools.

* Provides technical support to hotline and field service in resolving complex problems related to the machine or device being worked on.

* Perform administrative responsibilities using software applications to provide asset management and call tracking.

* Ensures parts are in stock for the repair and maintenance of computer equipment.

* Assume additional responsibilities for special projects as directed.

* Maintain inventories of parts to support depot repair

* Prepare monthly reports on types of repairs and submit to management

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Electronics, Electronics Technology, or closely aligned discipline, required.

  • 6+ months of experience repairing medical, aviation, or industrial devices, required

  • 6+ months of experience working with biohazard materials, preferred

  • In lieu of an Associate's degree, candidates with extensive experience repairing medical, aviation, or industrial devices may be considered. High School diploma or GED equivalent remains required.
