Job Title: System Administrator

Location: 2001 Brainard Rd Ft Huachuca, Arizona 85610

Clearance Level: Active DoD - Top Secret SCI

Required Certification(s):
* Requires current Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification on hire date with the ability to obtain and maintain ACAS and Host Base Security Systems (HBSS) certifications. Current ACAS and HBSS certifications are desired.

SUMMARY
Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) Test Evaluation and Certification II Services (TEC II) contract provides technical solutions for the DOD in support of Test and Evaluation (T&E) services and T&E enabling services. JITC's service requirements are categorized in the following areas: T&E Performance Requirements, T&E Capability Management Requirements, T&E Capability Requirements, and Overarching Contract and Task Order (TO) Requirements. TEC Services are provided to DoD Combatant Commanders/Services/Agencies, federal and state agencies, coalition partners, and commercial entities to aid in the design, development, acquisition, integration, deployment, operational use, and sustainment of new and enhanced Information Technology/National Security System capabilities.
The Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS) Laboratory (IBSL) test facility at the Joint Interoperability Test Command supports standards conformance certification and joint interoperability certification testing for Department of Defense (DoD) systems implementing IBS/Common Message Format (CMF) data protocols.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software.
* Implement operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.
* Install, configure, operate, and maintain Windows system servers, web servers and database servers in support of business processing requirements.
* Install, configure, and maintain dedicated workstations (OS, software, applications).
* Perform account and access management for multiple servers, specified applications and databases.
* Schedule and perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages in accordance with Program Management Office guidelines and release announcements.
* Monitor and tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
* Ensure workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
* Ensure data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
* Develop and maintain test facility Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Maintain IBSL network engineering documentation and Authority To Operate (ATO).
* Maintain DoD standards for network security through use of DISA's Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) on all network equipment, to include maintaining asset posture on DISA's Vulnerability Management System (VMS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
* Maintain and support physical and virtual servers using Windows operating system and applications to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
* Perform router and switch configuration and maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Certifications

Education, Background, and Years of Experience
* Requires a Bachelor's degree; an Associate's degree with at least 6 years of experience; at least 60 semester hours of formal education working towards an Associate's or Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience; or 12 years of experience. Additional certifications (other than those required for the position) in the area of specialization may be substituted for 1 year of experience. The degree must be in a relevant technical curriculum and experience must be related to the job duties.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills
* Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining both physical and virtual servers.

Preferred Skills
* Demonstrated experience supporting Windows servers. Linux and/or Solaris server experience.
* Experience working with Microsoft Windows Active Directory servers.
* Experience working Cisco firewall and F5 load balancer/application filter configuration/maintenance.
* Knowledge or experience working with DISA / DoD.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Environmental Conditions
* Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.

Strength Demands
* Sedentary - 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
