Job Highlights
  • Safe and efficient operations of the Emerald Innovation-3000 unit by completing, supporting, and participating in all assigned tasks
  • Represent Lanxess Inc. through daily actions that reinforce the corporate values; demonstrating personal commitment to a safe, healthy and environmentally sound workplace for employees.
  • Monitor the process in the field and/or in control room to identify and report unusual and unsafe conditions
  • Ability to cross train on all operations within the area
  • Identify routine maintenance requirements
  • Perform maintenance/repairs to piping and equipment as needed
  • Prepare Work Orders for maintenance on the unit as needed as well as preparing the equipment for maintenance.
  • Operation of complex chemical processes utilizing defined standard operation procedures
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with site standards and coach others to do the same
  • Maintain appropriate shift paper work.
  • Work with engineers, production specialists, quality assurance technicians, distribution technicians, as well as other plant personnel to safely and efficiently accomplish plant responsibilities.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work twelve-hour rotating day/night and overtime as needed
  • Previous experience in operations is a plus
  • Mechanical aptitude (working with pipe wrenches and tools needed for plant activities and minor maintenance)
  • Experience in operating a forklift or ability to learn
  • Participation in plant safety programs
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
  • Must be a team player

Please note, the actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.
